In the wake of scandals at prominent businesses such as Enron, Qwest and World-Com in the early 2000s, The Catholic Spirit deemed it appropriate to honor men and women business and community leaders who integrate their Catholic faith in their workplaces.
The Catholic Spirit is marking the 15th year it has recognized such men and women in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis with the Leading with Faith Award. We’re honoring five men and two women who work in diverse fields but share a commitment to cherishing the dignity of their employees, sharing their talents and relying on God to see them through.
The Catholic Spirit celebrated honorees at an Aug. 18 luncheon at St. Catherine University in St. Paul with Archbishop Bernard Hebda. Their stories are linked below and have been edited for length and clarity.
