Deacon Kraemer dies in Hawaii

Deacon Michael Kraemer, 66, died May 10 while on vacation in Hawaii.

He was ordained a permanent deacon Dec. 5, 2015. Since then, he has served at Holy Family in St. Louis Park and as a chaplain at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. He was an electrical engineer with Xcel Energy in Maple Grove.

Parishioners of St. Alphonsus in Brooklyn Center, he and his wife, Linda, have six adult children.

Visitation will be 5–8 p.m. May 17 at Gearty Delmore Funeral Chapels, 3888 W. Broadway Ave., Robbinsdale, with a 6:30 p.m. rosary.

A funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. May 18 at Holy Family, 5900 W. Lake St., St. Louis Park. A graveside burial will follow around 4:30 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park.
