Father Custodio to mark 50 years as a priest

Father Rinaldo Custodio will celebrate his 50th anniversary of priestly ordination with an 11 a.m. Mass on March 4, followed by a reception, at St. John the Baptist  in Savage. Father Custodio was ordained a priest March 3, 1962.

He has served at St. John the Baptist in Savage, St. John the Baptist in New Brighton, Visitation in Minneapolis, St. Raphael in Crystal, Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis, Holy Redeemer in Montgomery and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Minnetonka. He also served as chaplain at Benilde-St. Margaret’s School in St. Louis Park.

Father Custodio retired from full-time ministry in 2005. Currently he is house liaison at the Leo C. Byrne Residence for retired priests in St. Paul.
