Archbishop Nienstedt to chair committee

Archbishop John Nienstedt was voted chairman-elect of the Committee on Doctrine at the USCCB Fall General Assembly in Baltimore Nov. 14. The committee deals with theological and doctrinal matters affecting the U.S. church. Archbishop Nienstedt also is a member of the newly created Subcommittee on Health Care Issues under the jurisdiction of the Committee on Doctrine. As a committee chair, he will sit on the Administrative Committee, which directs the work of the USCCB between plenary sessions.
