Out of the many Archdiocesan events I participate in each year, the Leading with Faith awards celebration is always one of my favorites, as it honors courageous and humble women and men, most of whom would much rather stay anonymous than be recognized.
This year’s seven Leading With Faith winners know that they don’t “bring God to the workplace” — he’s already there. In their various roles and responsibilities, these men and women strive to recognize God’s presence in their work, as well as in their colleagues and clients, bridging that false gap between faith and work.
This year marks my fourth Leading With Faith Awards. On the one hand, this recurrence reminds me how quickly the years go by; on the other, it calls to mind once again what a blessing it is to have so many people in our archdiocese who are intentional about living their Catholic faith even in the public forum.
