Father Jacques Philippe, author of one of the featured books of the Rediscover: Book Club, will visit several archdiocesan parishes later this month and in early December for a series of talks and book signings.

Father Philippe, author of the international best-seller “Time for God,” is a retreat leader and member of the Community of the Beatitudes founded in France in 1973.

“Many people today are thirsty for God and feel a desire for [an] intense, personal prayer life; they would like to be able to spend time praying as a regular thing,” Father Philippe writes in the book’s introduction. “But they encounter obstacles that prevent them from following the path seriously, and especially from persevering on it.”

“My aim in this book,” he said, “is to provide advice and orientation and do that as simply and specifically as possible.”

Purchase the book or download its study guide on rediscover-faith.org.
