Economic Justice for All

We cannot separate what we believe from how we act in the marketplace and the broader community, for this is where we make our primary contribution to the pursuit of economic justice.

– Pastoral Letter on Catholic Social Teaching and the U.S. Economy U.S. Catholic Bishops, 1986

Each year, The Catholic Spirit honors business people guided by their Catholic values — men and women whose business practices reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ and the church. They are business owners, managers and executives who hail from a variety of fields.

Nominations are solicited from throughout the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Winners are selected in each of three following categories: large business, small business and nonprofit organizations.

The winners are honored at the annual Catholic Spirit Leading With Faith luncheon* and presented their awards by Archbishop John C. Nienstedt.

*Archbishop John Nienstedt will present the “Leading With Faith” Awards at a noon luncheon banquet on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 in the Rauenhorst Hall Ballroom in the Coeur de Catherine building at St. Catherine University, 2004 Randolph Ave., St. Paul.
