Students and staff of Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis will resume some activities through a modified schedule at the school starting Sept. 16.

The school will continue to offer support resources for students and staff following a shooting Aug. 27 during an all-school Mass, according to a school and parish spokesperson.

As part of the modified schedule, activities for students will center on support, connection and play. There will also be a “visible security presence,” according to the spokesperson.

“The Annunciation parish and school community wants its neighbors to know how blessed they feel by the love and support surrounding them,” a statement provided by the spokesperson read, in part. “(W)e continue to lift up Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel, and to pray for Sophia Forchas and all our injured community members in their recovery.”

Once the modified schedule is underway, “we will have a better sense of our next steps for the weeks ahead,” the spokesperson indicated.
