People cheer and clap to the music of Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness at the Cities 97 Basilica Block Party July 7, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. The annual event, featuring bands playing Friday and Saturday night on three stages on the parish grounds, started in 1995 as a fundraiser to help pay for the structural restoration of the Basilica. Proceeds now go to The Basilica Landmark, which preserves, restores and promotes the Basilica. About 25,000 people attended in 2017. Dave Hrbacek / The Catholic Spirit
