“Fumbles, Touchdowns & Hail Marys” Oct. 6 at St. Patrick in Edina will feature Super Bowl champion Matt Birk telling his story of faith with Bishop Andrew Cozzens among those joining in the conversation.

The 7 p.m. fundraising event (preceded by a 5:30 p.m. meet and greet) is sponsored by the Center for Evangelization and Discipleship, or CEND, which organized as a Twin Cities nonprofit in June 2020 with a goal of encouraging Catholics in their 20s and 30s to get to know one another and be active in their faith. It also is helping local parishes that hope to foster young adult involvement and a sense of community. CEND operates MSP Catholic, an online resource for Catholic young adult social and faith-based activities. More details and registration for the Oct. 6 event can be found at catholiccend.org/matt-birk-event.
