The EWTN Global Catholic Network will air an episode 4:30 p.m. Feb. 7 and 1:30 a.m. Feb. 8 featuring some of the work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the Twin Cities.

“Heirlooms and Home Visits” shows St. Vincent de Paul volunteers involved in two ministries: the traditional home visit and religious articles. The latter is unique to St. Vincent de Paul-Twin Cities, as the local council of the global charitable effort collects, sorts and sends thousands of Bibles, rosaries, statues, pictures and other religious items to convents, missions and schools around the world.

Recorded in the Twin Cities and Atlanta, the episode is part of a series sponsored by the National Council of St. Vincent de Paul called “Our Faith in Action: Today’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul.” It follows members and volunteers on their journey of spiritual growth through service to those in need. The series’ final five episodes will air the week of Feb. 6-10 at 4:30 p.m. on EWTN.

Thirty St. Vincent de Paul parish conferences in Minnesota provide food, emergency assistance, mentorship, job training and personal relationships.
