Jubilees

Father Campbell: The liturgy is a highlight

When Father Theodore Campbell moved to his townhome in Plymouth about seven years ago, it didn’t take long before he was nominated to the homeowner's association. “I’m on the board of directors here because somebody found out I was a priest and they figured out I knew a lot about buildings. Unfortunately, I have been involved in a few renovations,” he said with a smile.

Father Reding: Helping shape understanding of God

Father Michael Reding, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle in Minneapolis, recently recalled one of the most memorable experiences in his 25 years of priesthood: celebrating six sacraments in just over an hour. A non-Catholic man married to a Catholic woman for 35 years asked for help with the process for the couple to be married in the Church.

Father Little: Priesthood is beautiful and sacrificial

Ten years into his priestly life, Father Benjamin Little said, priesthood has confirmed what he anticipated. “I knew it would be beautiful and sacrificial all at once, but until you actually live it, you don’t know how true that is,” he said.

Sister Carolyn Puccio, a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet, has learned much in her 60 years of religious life. One lesson she has applied time and again is that if you see a need, respond.

Marist Father Sajdak: A desire to share God’s love led to priesthood

In 25th year of priesthood, Father Underdahl ministers in gratitude after stroke

Father Mark Underdahl said he believes that his vocation to the priesthood was borne out of his experience at his home parish, St. Gabriel the Archangel in Hopkins, and the example of his pastors as he grew up. “But in many regards, it was through the love and support of our family and friends,” he said. “And that certainly continues today.”

At 50 years of priesthood, Father Sieg values listening, learning

Father Thomas Sieg, 75, grew up in south Minneapolis and was one of seven men ordained in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in 1971. Yet he and Father Jerry Keiser were the only ones ordained on May 22. That year, he said, the preference was for ordinations to take place in parishes instead of the traditional location, the Cathedral of St. Paul in St. Paul.
