It should not be a big surprise to Catholics that more than 60% of people who say they are Catholics do not believe that the holy Eucharist is the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now if you receive the Eucharist during Mass, you tell those of us trying to be Catholics that you are a Catholic and have a clean conscience. Then when you receive the holy Eucharist, you are stealing the holy body and blood of Christ. You are guilty of two sins, stealing and bearing false witness, lying.
Now that they have eliminated two serious sins, they only need to follow the remaining eight, making it easy to be less Catholic.
The remaining 40% of us who believe the Eucharist is the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ need to be more vocal about telling those 60% that they need to change their ways or stop calling themselves Catholic!
Yours in Christ,
