Even before news of a devastating Aug. 14 earthquake in Haiti arrived, U.S. churches such as the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Diocese of Knoxville, Tennessee, were already lamenting the lack of visits between their parish communities and the people of Haiti.
As an auxiliary bishop who travels throughout the archdiocese, I see so much good done in Christ’s name. I feel so blessed because I get to see God’s incredible work in so many places. If you could follow me around, you would be inspired by the way people are living their faith in this archdiocese.
The Center for Mission recently selected four winners from separate grade categories for its annual writing contest. Participants had to answer the question: “How do you put your faith in action, words and deeds?”
