After taking phone calls protesting the Minnesota Bishops’ creation of the DVD “Preserving Marriage in Minnesota” and reading many e-mails, there are common presumptions that are repeated again and again, which are simply not accurate.
“As the chief pastor of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, I am writing to let you know of an important development that, if successful, will profoundly impact families throughout Minnesota,” Archbishop John Nienstedt wrote in a letter to Catholics in the archdiocese. “That is, the organized effort to redefine marriage in our state.”
