The first of eight meetings for parishioners to share their ideas and concerns regarding the future of the archdiocese will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. Richard in Richfield.

The archdiocese is seeking input on how best to manage pastoral, financial, personnel and structural resources.

At the end of the planning process in mid-2010, the archdiocesan Strategic Task Force for Parish and School Planning will present its recommendations, based in part on planning session participants’ suggestions, to Archbishop John Nienstedt.

Other planning sessions around the archdiocese are:

» Tuesday, Sept. 15 — 7-9 p.m., St. Peter, North St. Paul.

» Tuesday, Sept. 22 — 7-9 p.m., St. Wenceslaus, New Prague.

» Saturday, Sept. 26 — 9:30-11:30 a.m., St. Pius V, Cannon Falls.

» Monday, Sept. 28 — 7-9 p.m., All Saints, Lakeville.

» Thursday, Oct. 1 — 7-9 p.m., Holy Spirit, St. Paul.

» Tuesday, Oct. 6 — 7-9 p.m., Holy Name of Jesus, Wayzata.

» Thursday, Oct. 8 — 7-9 p.m., St. Timothy, Blaine.
